Shared Ministry Association

About the Association
  • We are an organization of pastoral ministers, men and women who have demonstrated competencies for archdiocesan certification according to national standards.
  • We meet twice annually.
  • One automatically becomes a member of the Shared Ministry Association with the awarding of certification.
  • Attendance at meetings is strongly recommended and will be reviewed upon request for certification renewal every five years.

Areas of Certification as a Pastoral Minister
  • Family Life Ministry
  • Liturgical Ministry
  • Pastoral Ministry
  • Christian Service/Social Ministry
"You challenge us with your wonderful works.
Draw us, O God, in the breath of your spirit,
That our spirits may answer in joy."
Psalm 139

We come together to:
  • Provide support for each other as we serve the Church of Detroit
  • Provide formation and information to help keep us on the cutting edge
"Jesus got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing and wrapped a towel around his waist.  After that he poured water into the basin and began to wash his disciples feet.  Understand this, and blessed are you if you put it into practice."
John 13
