Troy – About 50 young adults showed up to a brainstorming session for new ideas at St. Anastasia Parish in Troy, and at least that many ideas were shared.
 
Downriver parishes unite to honor the Blessed Mother

Woodhaven – Hundreds of Catholics from all 26 parishes in the Downriver Vicariate gathered last Sunday to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary with a Marian prayer service that included the Rosary, Marian hymns, a litany to St. Mary and benediction.

In our Church, we don't need members. We need disciples. What's essential for discipleship is conversion. Our children and youth will be formed in faith if we, as adults are formed, converted … but everyone will stagnate if adults are not continually open to conversion.

Guest House marks 50 years

Orion Township – Just outside a window on Guest House's Lake Orion campus, a nest serves as a home for several robin eggs. After some discussion among the staff, it was determined that the same robin had built a nest in the same spot last year. "They know they're safe," one staffer said.
