Warren - Last year's third-grade students of Joyce Boyle at St. Anne School, celebrated the end of the school year with pet day. As part of an English assignment, students could bring in their pets to accompany a short report they read to the class, which often included tricks the pet could perform or how they came to be a part of the family. While most of the animals brought to class by parents were dogs and cats, a guinea pig and a parrot also made an appearance. If students couldn't show off their pet, they brought in a picture to share.
