Dominique Monde-Matthews has waited, watched, prayed and feared for the nation of her birth. In the last 10 days, the life of the Detroit-area pediatrician and child of Haiti has been radically different.
 
As the first anniversary of Archbishop Allen Vigneron's Jan. 28, 2009,  installation as archbishop of Detroit approaches, Michigan Catholic reporter Robert Delaney interviewed the archbishop about some of the challenges and highlights of that first year, as well as his vision for the future of the archdiocese.

Those are the themes of the four keynote sessions for the upcoming Catholic youth conference, Rainbow XXVIII, and what youths will be invited to do over a weekend of workshops and speakers to get them excited about their faith. The overall theme for the conference is "kNOw God, kNOw love."
