Surrounded by her family, 99-year-old Sophie Cieslak Maida died Wednesday afternoon of natural causes at her suburban Pittsburgh home.  At the time of her death, Cardinal Maida and family members were reciting the rosary at her bedside. 
 
A Saturday afternoon funeral is planned at Our Lady of Grace Church in Scott Township, PA.
