Cardinal Adam Maida, archbishop of Detroit, will ordain five men to the Catholic priesthood at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 9844 Woodward Avenue, Detroit. The public is invited to attend.
Lee Acervo, 34, of Sterling Heights is the son of Rudy and Marlene Acervo of Sterling Heights. His home parish for the last several years has been SS. Cyril and Methodius, Sterling Heights. Previously, he was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, Madison Heights.
Charles Altermatt, 40, of Temperance is the son of Eugene Sr. and Lillian Altermatt of Sylvania, Ohio. His home parish is St. Anthony, Temperance. Previously, he was a member of St. Mary Parish, Kenosha, Wisconsin, and St. Joseph Parish, Sylvania, Ohio.
Clint McDonell, 29, of Westland is the son of Ronald and Brigid McDonell of Westland. His home parish is St. Raphael, Garden City.
Sama Muma, 38, of Cameroon, is the son of the late Linus Moma and Esther Jijep of Cameroon. His home parish is Sacred Heart, Detroit. Previously, he was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Bali.
Mark Prill, 27, of Lapeer, is the son of Maynard and Mary Anne Prill of Lapeer. His home parish is Immaculate Conception, Lapeer. Previously, he was a member of St. Anne Parish, Warren.
Ordination Mass to be Telecast on CTND
