Since 1975, the Archdiocesan Chorus of Detroit has been a celebration of voices in service to God. The Archdiocesan Chorus is the official chorus for major liturgical events throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. In addition to these liturgies, two concerts are hosted each year to showcase the talents of the 65 voice choir at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The chorus enjoys European tours every other year, singing mass and concerts in historic Cathedrals throughout the world. The chorus has traveled to London, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, Krakow, Prague, France, Ireland and Italy.

The Archdiocesan Chorus of Detroit seeks individuals to share their dedication and love of music with us. We invite you to become part of a rich musical heritage. The concert season runs from September through June. In addition to singing for the annual Priesthood and Diaconate Ordinations and Chrism Mass, as well as other important events such as Bishop Ordinations, the chorus looks forward to performing two concerts each season featuring classical choral works. Past performances have included Handel's Messiah, Fauré's Requiem, Duruflé's Requiem, Verdi's Requiem, Adolphus Hailstork's I Will Lift up Mine Eyes as well as newly commissioned works and spirituals such as those arranged by Moses Hogan.

Shari Fiore, accompanist, is a senior staff accompanist at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.  As a graduate of Oakland University, she received a B.A., an M.M. in organ performance and sacred music where she studied piano  with the late Joyce Adelson, and organ with Frederic DeHaven.  Ms. Fiore was the former music minister at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Grosse Pointe.  Throughout her extensive career, Shari has been accompanist and assistant director for Rackham Symphony Choir , and performed with the DeHaven Chorale.  Ms. Fiore has performed major organ works and accompanied choral performances in cathedrals throughout Europe, including Chartres Cathedral in France, St. Mary's Cathedral in Krakow and  Westminster Abbey in London.
