Prayer for the Eldering
Written by Sr. Angelita Fenker
Blessed are you, Eldering Person of Faith!
You are standing tall – yet rooted deep in your lived wisdom –
In the awareness of your eternal belovedness.

You are touching the world with your tremendous love.
You are transforming the heart of the universe
Through the dynamic Christ-centered love
That flows through you and mentors everyone your life touches.

This very power ennobles your entire life,
And enables others to feel good about themselves in your presence.
Blessed are you as your soul magnifies the Lord,
And rejoices in God your Savior –
For he who is mighty truly has done wonderful things
To, with and through you – because of your love,
To change the world around you!

Rejoice! Be glad! Christ's life in you is full!
The Incarnation continues – in YOU!
Truly – Blessed are you, Eldering Person of Faith!
Walk tall, and let your whole being sing "Yes" – Forever!
