Resources to supplement the various segments
Segment 1: Adult Faith Formation - An Overview This opening segment looks at a brief history of adult faith formation in the Church and the Archdiocese of Detroit. It strives to answer the question: "What is adult faith formation?" – a multi-faceted reality because it is all-encompassing of who we are as Church.
Segment 2: A Foundation for Adult Faith Formation Where do we start in planning for adult faith formation? Rather than immediately planning "programs," a few other steps need to come first. This second segment examines these steps and gives various practical examples.
Segment 3: The Ministry of the Adult Faith Formation Committee This segment begins to look at the ministry of the Adult Faith Formation Committee/Team, exploring their own ongoing growth in faith and the reality and examples of ways that they never work alone, but network with all within the parish, for adult faith formation is the responsibility of all.
Segment 4: Some Specific Roles of the Adult Faith Formation Committee The Adult Faith Formation Committee/Team has particular roles and tasks which bring alive the adult faith formation ministry within the parish. This segment explores these roles with several examples.

Segment 5: Some Principles for Adult Faith Formation Since the 1970s our Church documents and real-life practice have given us many principles which guide the ministry and practice of adult faith formation today, ensuring that we are an adult-centered parish, a learning community. This segment looks at just a few of the guiding principles.
Segment 6: Some Guidelines for Adult Faith Formation and Thoughts about Vicariate Collaboration Since the 1990s the US Bishops and our own archdiocese have given us several guidelines to help direct adult faith formation faithfully and creatively to meet today's needs. In the spirit of Together in Faith, many of our vicariates now innovatively and resourcefully plan together for adult faith formation.
Segment 7: Resources and Encouragements This segment surveys numerous resources and helps which are available for adult faith formation leaders nationally and in the archdiocese. It also asks the question: "Where do you go from here?" and gives suggestions for continuing information and formation.
Segment 8: Bonus: "The Devil Made Me Do It" Is No Longer an Excuse (What Not To Do in Adult Faith Formation) This bonus segment, a dialogue between the devil and the good angel, is an exploration of what not to do in adult faith formation and, of course, very practical and good ideas of what to do, summarizing many of the ideas in the first seven segments.
