Leadership

Pray for guidance.  Pray for wisdom.  Pray for the men that will be coming to the Fellowship.  Pray that your motives will be in total agreement with Our Lord's and pray that the men's hearts will be open to an intimate relationship with God.

Steps to Follow
1.  Inform your pastor of your intentions and get his permission.  Discuss it with him and invite him to participate at any time, but don't lean on him with leadership expectations or other demands.

2.  Decide on some materials you will want to use to facilitate the meetings.  Click on "Helpful Resources" below for suggestions.

3.  Decide on where and when to meet.

4.  Decide on a format for the meetings.  Click on "What We Do" for a suggested format.  Also, click on "Helpful Resources" for further suggestions. Always keep in mind that the primary purpose of a fellowship group is to help develop and strengthen a man's relationship with Jesus.

5.  Invite a few men that you believe might be interested in a Christ-centered fellowship.  Putting an article in the parish bulletin alone usually doesn't work.  Personal invitation always works the best.

6.  Pray for guidance and wisdom, and always allow the Holy Spirit to provide!
This is your invitation to come and see the wonderful things that God is doing.

"When they saw the courage of Peter and John, and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men,
they were astonished.
And they took note that these men had been with Jesus."
