Prayer to the Holy Family

From nearly its beginning the Church has invoked Mary, the Mother of God, in prayer. Jesus is the way of our prayer: Mary, his mother and ours, shows the way. She is herself a sign of the way. The Church's prayer to Mary has a twofold movement: the first "Magnifies" the Lord for the great things He did for his servant; the second entrusts supplications to the Mother of God.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you!
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
