Stations of Light for a New Millennium

Each Station of light begins with a familiar invocation and a short reading from the New Testament. A brief reflection follows, with a silent meditation and a prayer from the liturgy. Each station ends with a verse from a traditional Eater chant, "o Filii et Filiae." This format recalls the medieval pilgrimage sequence from the Liturgical Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows in song form, the "Stabat Matter" of the Via Crucis.
