Edith Glusac Volleyball Award   The Edith Glusac Award is presented to the outstanding scholar-athlete in volleyball. This award, renamed in 1990, honors Glusac, a life-long Detroiter and contributor to girls' athletics. Glusac is a former swimming, basketball, field hockey and tennis coach and officiated basketball, volleyball and swimming in the Catholic League for nearly 50 years. Retired from the Detroit Public Schools -- where she served as physical education teacher, counselor and administrator -- she continues to officiate volleyball and swimming and work with younger officials and athletes.
