SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary was founded in Detroit in 1885 and transferred to Orchard Lake in 1909. This interdiocesan seminary currently offers a priestly formation program and degree programs for lay women and men in ministry. The seminary is governed by a Board of Trustees, with the Archbishop of Detroit as ex officio Chairman. On the same campus, St. Mary's College offers a special program of priestly formation (see Catholic Colleges).
