Mrs. Rennie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1968, with a major in English and minors in history and art history.  She went on to earn a Master of Theological Studies degree (1984) and Master of Divinity (1988) from the former St. John's Provincial Seminary in Plymouth, MI.  Mrs. Rennie is also a graduate of the Internship Program in Spiritual Direction of the Dominican Center for Religious Development. 
 
Pat served as Dean of the Institute for Ministry at Sacred Heart Major Seminary from 1995 until her retirement in June of 2009.  In her role as the Institute's Dean, Mrs. Rennie collaborated on a number of Archdiocesan committees, including the Pastoral Ministry Certification Review Board, the Mission Possible committee which promotes lay ecclesial ministry, the F. Gerald Martin Pastoral Ministry Conference committee, as well as ad hoc committees.
 
Prior to coming to SHMS, Pat worked in parish ministry as a pastoral associate. Pat has been a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Subcommittee on Lay Ministry Formation and also served on ATS's Advisory Committee for Student Resources.
 
Pat will continue to teach in the area of ministry in both the College of Liberal Arts and the Graduate School of Theology.
