The class formation program is designed to offer the opportunity for support and encouragement and for mutual sharing especially among peers and to foster the systematic planning of personal and professional goals in the light of the needs of the Church.
Personal Discipleship The first year program focuses on personal discipleship and seeks to help the student come in touch with his identity as a person of faith and a candidate for priesthood. The diciple enters the desrt to search out this identity.
Lived Discipleship The second year program focuses on lived discipleship and seeks to help the student understand and appropriate his calling to love and serve the Lord, a called shared with all believers. Special emphasis is given to the cadidate's understanding of discipleship as a future priest. The candidate as disciple and future priest perpares to enter into ministry more directly through directed Field Education, Theological Reflection, and preparation for the Ministerial Year.
Ministerial Year The third year is spent in the Ministerial Year.
Priestly Ministry The focus of the fourth year program is on priestly ministry and seeks to help the student better understand and live out his call to discipleship in light of his identity as a diocesan priest.
The fifth year program continues to focus on priestly ministry and seeks to prepare the seminarians for ordination and public ministry in the church.
