Copy Cards
Copy cards are available in the main library.  They can be used in the copy machines in both library rooms.  Copies are 10 cents with a card, or with cash.  Faculty can be issued a pre-charged card for library use.

Log-in Book
Patrons are asked to sign the log-in book near the entrance to each library as they enter and exit.

Fines
Students:  Students are asked to return all items on time or renew them in a timely manner.  Unresolved fines may add up quickly, and will result in a "hold" on records or grades.

Faculty:  SHMS faculty are not charged fines and may check out materials for one semester.

Interlibrary loans usually allow us to keep books for 2-4 weeks, with one optional renewal.  They may recall a loan at their discretion.  Interlibrary loan materials must be returned on time.

Distance Learning Videos
If you are taking a course being taught in the Electronic classroom or at our Macomb distance-learning site, video copies of the classes may be available in the Cardinal Szoka Library offices.

Please note:

  • Videos may be checked out for 3 days and are subject to fines.
  • Currently, only one copy of each video is available.
  • Videos often do not arrive in the library until 3 or 4 days after the live class.
  • Videos are not a substitute for live classroom access.
