Marriage Preparation at St. John's

All couples are required to complete a marriage preparation program before marriage in the Catholic Church. Those couples requesting a presider will complete their preparation at St. John. Those couples bringing their own presider are welcome to prepare at St. John or in their own parish.

 

The Marriage Preparation Program at St. John includes the following:

• Initial meeting with the Marriage Preparation Coordinator to complete the Pre-Nuptial Interview and PREPARE Relationship survey - Fee: $35 
   
• Schedule three counseling sessions with our staff counselor, a Licensed Master Social Worker - Fee: $225 
   
• Attend a Covenant Love Weekend Retreat  - Fee: $225

If couples elect to complete their Marriage Preparation at their home parish they will follow the guidelines established by that parish. 

 

It is the couple’s responsibility to make sure all marriage preparation paperwork is submitted to The Retreat Center at St. John’s no later than three months prior to the wedding date.
