Bishop Daniel Flores was ordained to the priesthood in 1998 in Corpus Christ, Texas In October 2006, he was named an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Detroit and was ordained on November 29, 2006.

Bishop Flores’ mother lives in Corpus Christi, Texas; his father passed away in 1984. He has two brothers and one sister, all living in or near Corpus Christi. He has numerous nephews and nieces.
